- Side mounting brackets
- Serrated flange nuts
- Carriage bolts
- D-style washers
- M6 or M8 bolts (vehicle specific)
- 1/2” socket
- 11/16” open-end wrench
- Torque wrench (recommended)
- Fully extend the BEDSLIDE tray. Lift the sliding top frame up and out of the base.
- You will need to lift the welded safety stops up and over the rear roller bearings and spacer guides to release the tray. This step may require two people for safe lifting
- Set the top frame aside.
- Remove the two front and two rear factory tie-down hooks from the truck bed.
- Rear tie-downs will be reused later in the installation.
- Front tie-downs can be saved in case the BEDSLIDE is ever removed
- Attach the left and right front (cab-end) mounting brackets to the threaded studs on the base frame.
- Secure using:
- 5/16" flat washers
- 5/16"-18 serrated flange nuts
- Tighten to manufacturer specifications:
- 20 ft-lbs (base bracket hardware)
- Attach left and right rear mounting brackets to the base frame using:
- 5/16"-18 x 1-1/4” carriage bolts
- 5/16" flat washers
- 5/16"-18 serrated flange nuts
- Tighten with a torque wrench to spec
- Position the BEDSLIDE base so the front brackets align with the factory front tie-down mounting holes.
- Secure using:
- M8 x 25mm tri-lobe screws and washers (vehicle specific)
- Tighten to: 18 ft-lbs
- Be sure to use the hardware included in your kit.
- Using M6 x 25mm bolts and washers, secure the left and right rear brackets to the bed where the rear tie-downs were removed.
- Tighten rear bolts to: 7.5 ft-lbs
- Reinstall the original rear tie-down brackets to the new mounting brackets using M6 hardware. Some kits provide two mounting position options depending on your vehicle layout
- Carefully reinstall the sliding top frame onto the base by placing it over the rear roller bearings and sliding forward into the stowed position.
- This step may require two people to safely lift and align the tray
- Peel protective film from tie-down rails.
- If any lettering lifts with the film, reposition and press firmly using a card or your hand to ensure proper adhesion
- To ensure long-term performance:
- Do not operate on steep inclines.
- Do not exceed the weight capacity of your BEDSLIDE.
- Keep weight evenly distributed.
- Never drive with the tray in the extended position.
- Avoid fuel, oil, or chemical spills on the deck surface
