- Loosen the set screw on the plastic end cap at the cab end of the BEDTRAX rail. Remove the cap and insert (2) mount blocks into the track. Reinstall the end cap and tighten the set screw.
- These blocks will secure your corner towers in the next step
- (4) mount blocks per side
- (If equipped with guardrails, insert 6 per side.)
- Invert the corner tower (they ship upside down), position it over the mount blocks, and secure using 1/4"-20 x 3/4" Allen bolts
- Reinstall end caps once secured.
- Slide one end of the head rail (slot facing forward) into the mounted corner tower.
- Insert a mount block into the head rail and align it with the tower's mounting hole. Secure with a 1/4"-20 x 3/4" Allen bolt
- Insert a mount block into the open end of the head rail. Invert the second corner tower and slide it into position.
- Insert (2) mount blocks underneath the tower and fasten with supplied bolts
- Invert both side towers (mount holes facing inward).
- Slide (2) mount blocks underneath each tower.
- Important: Pre-install a D-ring tie down in front of and behind each side tower before tightening.
- Secure using 1/4"-20 x 3/4" Allen bolts.
- Do not fully tighten yet.
- Insert (2) mount blocks into each guard rail.
- Slide guard rails into the corner towers.
- Secure with Allen bolts.
- Insert side towers into guard rail ends and fasten.
- For best appearance, allow approximately 6 inches of guard rail to extend past the side tower
- Thread the (4) D-ring tie downs into the previously installed mount blocks. Position as desired and tighten.
- Reinstall the plastic end caps and tighten the set screws.
- Place the assembled BEDSLIDE into your truck bed.
- Center it between the wheel wells.
- Leave 1½ inches of clearance between the bulkhead and the BEDSLIDE frame.
- Confirm the tailgate closes without contacting the BEDSLIDE
- If your truck has a stepped tailgate or insufficient clearance, you may need the Lift Block Kit (Part #BSA-SPACEBLKIT)
- Slowly extend the upper tray while keeping the unit in position.
- Using the pre-punched holes at:
- The cab end
- The center cross member
- Mark (4) mounting locations.
- Drill four 1/2" holes, choosing the hole location that rests on the highest part of the truck bed floor
- For each hole:
- Insert a 5/16" bolt through the riv nut tool and into a riv nut.
- Insert assembly into hole.
- Tighten while holding tool steady with a wrench.
- Ensure the riv nut sits flush and compresses securely underneath.
- Do not over-tighten.
- Do not use air impact tools.
- Repeat for all four holes.
- Reposition the BEDSLIDE into the truck bed.
- Align mounting holes with installed riv nuts and secure using:
- 5/16" x 2" bolts
- Split lock washers
- Flat washers
- Tighten all hardware securely
- Peel away protective film from tie-down rails.
- If any lettering lifts with the film, reposition it and press firmly using a card or your hand to ensure proper adhesion.
