The Bilstein B8 5100 Shocks are engineered to deliver superior ride control and durability for trucks and SUVs, particularly vehicles equipped with leveling kits or suspension lifts. Designed as a direct-fit upgrade, the 5100 series provides improved handling, stability, and ride comfort both on the highway and off-road.

At the core of the B8 5100 design is Bilstein’s 46mm monotube gas-pressure shock architecture, which allows heat to dissipate more efficiently than traditional twin-tube shocks. This helps maintain consistent damping performance and reduces shock fade during aggressive driving or rough terrain.

The shocks feature Bilstein’s patented digressive valving system, which instantly reacts to changing road conditions and suspension movement. This velocity-sensitive technology improves ride comfort on the street while maintaining the control needed for off-road environments.

Many front B8 5100 shock applications also include multiple snap-ring grooves that allow adjustable ride height, enabling drivers to level the front of their truck by up to approximately 0–2.75 inches depending on the vehicle while using factory coil springs.
