Installation Steps for the LEER SR250 Tonneau Cover
 
  1. Prepare Your Truck Bed
    • Make sure the bed rails and tailgate area are clean and free of debris.
    • Remove any old tonneau cover hardware if applicable.
  2. Install the Side Rails
    • Place the side rails along the top inside edges of your truck bed.
    • Use the included clamps to secure each rail. Position the three clamps evenly to clamp to the side bed channel rail.
    • Hand-tighten all clamps first, then fully tighten using included allen wrench.
    • Pro Tip: Check that rails are level and flush with the bed.
  3. Position the Cover
    • Place the folded cover on the front of the bed near the cab.
    • Align the cover so it fits squarely between the rails.
    • Attach the front of the cover to the front rails using the included cross bar bolts.
    • Repeat for the opposite side
  4. Unfold and Secure
    • Carefully remove clips and unfold the cover
    • Ensure each panel locks into place as you unfold. You should hear a "click" as the CYNC; Latch engages.
    • At the rear, ensure the latch mechanism is aligned with the side rail catches.
  5. Adjust as Needed
    • Close the tailgate and check alignment.
    • If needed, adjust the side rails or latch positions for a tight seal.
  6. Test the CYNC Latch System
    • Open and close the cover several times to get used to the operation.
    • The CYNC Latch system allows you to open the cover from either side & test both sides to ensure it's working properly.
  7. Final Checks
    • Check all clamps and hardware for tightness.
    • Make sure the cover opens, closes, and latches smoothly.
    • Check for any gaps that could let in water.
