Product Overview
Warn Heavyweight Winches are designed for customers who need serious recovery power for larger trucks, heavy off-road builds, work vehicles, overland rigs, and demanding trail situations. This winch lineup gives properly equipped vehicles the pulling strength needed for mud, snow, sand, steep terrain, stuck vehicles, remote routes, and heavy recovery work. For customers building a stronger front-end recovery system, the Heavyweight series delivers the high-capacity performance expected from WARN.
Heavy recovery situations require more than a basic winch. Larger vehicles, added armor, loaded cargo, towing equipment, oversized tires, and remote travel can all increase the demand placed on recovery gear. Warn Heavyweight Winches are built for customers who want a high-capacity winch matched to serious pulling needs, not just a visual upgrade mounted in a bumper.
The Heavyweight lineup includes 12,000 lb, 15,000 lb, and 16,500 lb rated pulling capacity options depending on the selected configuration. That range gives customers a way to match the winch to the size of the vehicle, the weight of the build, and the recovery situations they expect to face. Whether the vehicle is used for work, towing support, trail recovery, or long-distance travel, choosing the right winch capacity is an important part of building a safe and capable recovery system.
M12 and M15 Heavyweight models use a large-frame design with heavy-duty drum supports and a powerful motor for hard pulls. These winches are built for larger trucks that need dependable pulling strength in demanding conditions. The removable control pack houses an Albright contactor on confirmed applications, giving customers mounting flexibility and durable winch control support when packaging the winch with compatible bumpers and mounting systems.
The 16.5ti Heavyweight models add the highest listed capacity in the lineup with a 16,500 lb rating. These models include a thermometric indicator for motor temperature feedback, helping customers monitor winch heat during extended recovery use. Extreme-duty sealing helps protect the winch from water, mud, grime, and outdoor exposure, making the 16.5ti a strong fit for heavy-duty recovery builds that see difficult conditions.
Warn Heavyweight Winches are available with steel rope or Spydura synthetic rope depending on the selected configuration. Steel rope gives customers a traditional recovery line setup with familiar durability, while synthetic rope configurations reduce line weight and are easier to handle during recovery setup. The winches pair naturally with compatible winch-ready bumpers, fairleads, hooks, shackles, recovery points, and other properly rated recovery gear.
Whether customers are upgrading for heavy trail recovery, overlanding, work trucks, towing support, mud, snow, remote travel, or a more complete front-end recovery setup, Warn Heavyweight Winches deliver high-capacity pulling power, rugged construction, and trusted WARN recovery performance.
