Step-by-Step Truck Drawer System Installation
 
The LEER NexStor Truck Drawer System is designed to transform your truck bed into a secure, organized, and highly functional storage solution. With a vehicle-specific fit and durable construction, NexStor installs using factory mounting points and included hardware, no major modifications required.
 
This guide walks you through the general installation process across popular truck applications (Ford, Chevy/GMC, and RAM). Always reference your vehicle-specific instructions for exact hardware and fitment details.
 
Before You Begin
 
Tools & Materials
 
  • Socket wrench set
  • Hex/Allen wrench set
  • Torque wrench (recommended)
  • Protective gloves
 
What’s Included
 
Your NexStor kit will include:
 
  • Drawer system assembly
  • Mounting brackets (front, rear, and/or side depending on model)
  • Connection supports
  • Hex bolts and washers (M8 hardware)
  • Slider nuts, lifting rings, and nylon washers
 
Note: Hardware and bracket configurations vary slightly by truck model.
 
Installation Steps
 
Step 1: Prepare the Truck Bed
 
Start by clearing out your truck bed completely.
 
  • For some models (like Ford F-150), remove the factory bed bolts from the mounting locations.
  • Clean the bed surface to ensure proper alignment and installation.
 
Step 2: Install Mounting Brackets & Supports
 
Attach the provided brackets and supports to either the truck bed or the drawer system (depending on your model):
 
  • Install front and rear connection supports or side brackets using M8 bolts with washers.
  • On certain models (RAM/TRX), secure side connection brackets and fixing brackets directly to the drawer unit first.
  • Leave hardware slightly loose to allow for adjustment.
 
Step 3: Position the Drawer System
 
Carefully lift and place the NexStor system into the truck bed.
 
  • Align the system with factory mounting points or pre-installed brackets.
  • Ensure the unit sits flush and centered in the bed.
  • For some applications, position the system toward the cab or tailgate as specified.
 
Step 4: Secure the System to the Truck Bed
 
Once aligned:
 
  • Attach brackets to the truck bed using factory bolts or supplied M8 hardware.
  • Secure front, rear, and/or side brackets depending on your configuration.
  • Adjust bracket positioning to ensure a tight, even fit before fully tightening.
 
Step 5: Install Tie-Down Points (Lifting Rings)
 
Add the finishing hardware:
 
  • Insert slider nuts into the drawer system’s rail channels.
  • Attach lifting rings with nylon washers.
  • Install approximately 12 sets (varies by model).
 
These provide additional tie-down points for securing cargo.
 
Step 6: Final Tightening & Inspection
 
  • Tighten all bolts and fasteners securely
  • Check that the drawer system is stable and properly aligned
  • Open and close drawers to ensure smooth operation
 
Once everything is secure, your NexStor system is ready for use.
