- Socket wrench set
- Hex/Allen wrench set
- Torx bit set
- Rubber mallet
- Threadlocker (recommended)
- Soapy water (for seal installation)
- Roof panel
- Front, rear, and side door panels
- Bottom rail profiles
- Mounting brackets and connectors
- Sealing strips (EPDM foam and waterproof seals)
- Hardware kits (bolts, washers, nuts, slider nuts)
- Insert the front and rear panels into the bottom side rail profiles.
- Use a rubber mallet to gently secure them without damaging the materials.
- Apply door gap sealing strips to the front and rear panels.
- Ensure seals are aligned evenly for proper weather protection.
- Insert M8 square neck bolts into the panel slots.
- Add stainless steel sleeves and washers, spacing hardware evenly across both sides.
- Place the roof panel on top with reinforcement ribs facing downward.
- Align bolts with pre-drilled holes and center the panel.
- Install washers and cap nuts onto roof bolts.
- Only tighten the center hardware initially—leave side fasteners loose for adjustment.
- Clip waterproof rubber strips along the roof edges.
- Ensure correct orientation and full contact with panel edges.
- Apply soapy water to sealing areas for easier installation.
- Slide side door panels into position simultaneously on both sides.
- Fasten side panels using anti-theft Torx screws.
- Apply threadlocker and leave slightly loose for final alignment.
- Connect side panels to the roof using flange nuts and additional hardware.
- Ensure seals remain properly seated throughout installation.
- Fully tighten all fasteners once aligned.
- Insert slider nuts into roof channels.
- Attach roof rack brackets and secure using M8 hardware.
- Attach gas struts to side doors
- Install door handles and secure with bolts
- Flip the canopy and secure all panels to the bottom rails.
- Install bottom rubber seals to protect the truck bed and improve sealing.
- Install EPDM foam strips along the bottom edges of the cap.
- Do not overlap existing seals.
- Insert slider nuts into the bottom rail channels of the canopy.
- Position them evenly for bracket installation.
- Attach front, rear, and middle connectors to the truck bed rails.
- Use supplied bolts and washers, leaving hardware slightly loose.
- Carefully lift and place the assembled NexCap onto the truck bed.
- Align it with the mounting brackets and bed rails.
- (Tip: This step typically requires two or more people.)
- Fasten the canopy to the brackets using supplied bolts and washers.
- Tighten all mounting hardware once properly aligned.
- Check all bolts and fasteners
- Ensure seals are properly seated
- Open and close all doors to confirm proper alignment
- Verify the cap is securely mounted and stable
- Do not fully tighten hardware until final alignment is complete
- Use threadlocker to prevent loosening over time
- Always install seals carefully to prevent leaks
- Recheck all fasteners after the first few uses
