This is the text of the LEER Limited Lifetime Warranty in effect as of 7/18/03. Your warranty may vary depending upon date of production of your cap. The warranty distributed with your product is the warranty that applies to it. Contact your LEER Distributor for further information on LEER Warranty Service.

Effective 5/25/04 - LEER (A Truck Accessories Group Company - T.A.G.) warrants you, the original Purchaser, that for as long as you own your LEER cap or tonneau cover, installed by an authorized LEER Distributor on the original vehicle, it will be free from defects in workmanship.

LEER warrants:

• LEER fiberglass structural material below color surface
• Color fade shall be warranted on original color only
• Suspa brand gas props shall be warranted for five years from date of manufacture.
• Peeling, hazing, chalking and delamination shall be warranted for five (5) years
• Other hardware components of doors and windows (excluding glass), locks and latches, accessories, etc., shall be warranted for one year from date of purchase.

LEER (A Truck Accessories Group Company - T.A.G.) warrants to the original purchaser that it will, at its option, either repair without charge only the items listed in this warranty, or replace the original cap with a truck cap of equal value or model, based on current model availability. This warranty specifically excludes damage due to accidents, misuse, alterations, improper installation, or lack of proper care and maintenance as listed in this warranty.

Exclusions from limited warranty:

1. This limited warranty does not apply to Legend Series, accessories or equipment installed by anyone other than the factory.
2. The limited warranty does not apply to any crazing that may result from misuse, impact, or normal wear and tear.
3. This limited warranty does not apply to damage due to accidents, misuse, off-road driving, alterations, acid rain, airborne fallout (chemical, tree sap, etc.) salt, road hazards, hail, wind storm, floods and other natural disasters, lack of proper care, and maintenance or normal wear and tear. Minor abrasion of paint on truck bed rails and elsewhere where the cap or tonneau contacts the truck is considered normal wear and tear.
4. This limited warranty does not apply to improperly installed caps or tonneaus.
5. This limited warranty does not apply to damage resulting from operating your vehicle with the cap door or tonneau open.
6. This limited warranty does not apply to glass breakage.

All repairs shall be performed at the premises of any authorized LEER Distributorship or, at LEER’s option, at a LEER manufacturing facility. Purchasers making a claim under this warranty shall deliver the truck cap or tonneau to an authorized LEER Distributor. Distributor may charge a nominal labor charge for removal of cap or tonneau. LEER does not authorize any person to create, on its behalf, any obligation with respect to the truck cap or tonneau except as provided in this limited warranty. LEER does not warrant the merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, whether written, stated, or implied. When LEER Customer Service authorizes complete repaint of cap or tonneau by an independent paint shop under LEER warranty, it then becomes the responsibility of that paint shop to warrant the paint from that point forward. Purchaser’s remedy for breach of any warranty shall consist solely of repair or replacement under the terms of this written warranty. In no event shall LEER be liable for any consequential damages arising from purchase or use of the cap or tonneau. Proof of the retail purchase date must be presented at the time of any claim. Only the original invoice, including serial number, presented by the original purchaser constitutes proof. This warranty is void without such proof. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty will last or the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. The warranty registration form must be returned to LEER for this warranty to be in effect.
