LEER Enlists the Support of 20 Industry Partners
for 2004 Nissan Titan Project Truck "For All Seasons"

Leer Model 100R Truck Cap

The whole automotive industry is buzzing about the new full size 8-Cylinder Nissan Titan - and with good reason - it looks great, runs like a hurricane, and packs all the toting and towing capacity any full-size truck lover could want. Imagine what happens though, when twenty of the world's leading vehicle accessory companies (just look at the list at left!) have a chance to get their hands on a Titan and show off their latest, most innovative tricks.

That's just what took place this November when LEER, a company known for spearheading great truck projects, won the rights to one of a handful of pre-production Crew-Cab Titans sprinkled into the automotive community by Nissan. Members of the LEER staff, staring at the refrigerator-white Titan once it had been delivered to their Woodland, California manufacturing facility, saw a concept that could excite the entire automotive community, and started making calls to accessory manufacturers around the country. The response was truly phenomenal, both in the quality and quantity of project participants who stepped up to take part. LEER chose "A Truck For All Seasons" as the theme of the project, enabling the participants to demonstrate just how many facets of modern life are fulfilled by a properly equipped pickup truck.

Of course, when you say "properly equipped" among truck accessory manufacturers, you're talking about a truck that sports 3 flat-panel TV screens, a kayak, snowboards and a 12V refrigerator! You're including everything from carbon-fibre dash trim to bully bars to sleeping bags to a radical two-tone paint scheme!

The resulting truck, shown in a series of exclusive photos posted here, was one of the highlights at this year's huge SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) Show in Las Vegas, stopping industry leaders, retailers, and members of the press in their tracks. Like kids in a candy store, those who spotted the LEER Titan "Truck For All Seasons" couldn't get enough, snapping pictures, popping the hood, jotting down specs, and otherwise lavishing attention on a truck very few had ever seen before.

Industry insiders say sales prospects for the Titan are excellent; one LEER salesperson who has logged hundreds of miles in the truck says it's the hottest, tightest pickup he's ever seen!

Importantly, too, the project gives the participants a chance to show their potential customers just how innovative they can be. LEER is proud and honored to work with so many industry leaders, on this and other projects, and invites every truck lover to visit and explore the offerings available from each and every participant. To help, we've added links for each one at left.

The Titan will stay on the road and will be displayed at several major auto/truck exhibits over the next year, including the light truck accessory industry's biggest trade event, the SEMA Spring Show, in Indianapolis, Indiana March 5-6, 2004.

"No one in the world covers more trucks with more models of caps and tonneaus than LEER!"
We practically invented the modern truck cap over 30 years ago, and we've led the industry in style, function, value and quality EVER SINCE.  You can be sure - if there's a truck cap or tonneau that will make your truck look and serve you better, LEER makes it!

Caught in the parking lot near the
Convention Center, the Titan was spotted
by several curious passersby.

Hitches, racks, sports equipment, custom tires and wheels, and the unique Dupont
paint job attracted a lot of attention.

Standing out among 7,000 SEMA exhibits
is tough, but the Titan was a "must-see"
stop for many convention delegates.

Custom flat-screen headrest TV's were driven by an under-seat DVD player with remote control.

Custom leather, a carbon-fibre dash, floor mats and other treatments enhanced the Titan interior; performance upgrades added punch to its power.
