Honda Chooses Westin & LEER
Honda Dealers at SEMA see how accessories can enhance pickup truck sales
When Honda wanted to teach its dealers a bit about selling pickup trucks, they asked accessories experts at Westin and LEER to provide a bit of an education about today's truck market. The result, a fully-accessorized Honda Ridgeline was featured in the Honda corporate display at the 2006 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The Ridgeline inspired the Dealers and excited the rest of the SEMA crowd, with a dramatic cammo-inspired paint scheme and a full complement of accessories.
Atop the uniquely shaped cargo bed was a brand-new LEER Model 100XQ truck cap, which integrated into the styling of the truck perfectly. The cap also provided protection and security for the innovative cargo box, that encloses its own small lockable "trunk."
Westin racks, step bars and other accessories further enhanced both the utility and appearance of the vehicle, and provided a clear example of how personal preferences and lifestyle requirements can become part of a truck through aftermarket accessories.
After seeing the Westin/LEER project truck, Honda dealers made a point to visit the Westin and LEER booths elsewhere on the SEMA Show floor, to find out just how they could offer the accessories to their truck customers. Westin and LEER representatives were only too happy to put them in touch with their local Westin and LEER Dealers and Distributors.
