LEER Nissan Frontier Project Truck -
A great showcase for the New Adventure Sports Edition Truck Cap
The new Nissan Frontier borrows styling, technology and reliability from its bigger brother, the critically acclaimed Nissan Titan - but the Frontier has a strong personality of its own, too - with impressive performance in a package that uses space and gas efficiently.
Nissan knew that LEER could show off its new star to advantage capitalizing on the outdoor-sports theme that LEER was anxious to promote. Aiming at a young, well-educated, active, demanding group of millions who enjoy high-enery sports like skiing, kayaking, biking, and other similar activities, LEER used the Frontier as one of its premier launching pads for its revolutionary "Adventure Sports Edition" truck cap.
The Adventure Sports Edition truck cap combines the well-known security and protection features of a LEER fiberglass truck cap with exclusive storage features, sports accessories and roof rack gear.
The truck accessory community was also anxious to contribute gear of all kinds to the project because highly anticipated trucks like the Frontier represent good potential for aftermarket accessory sales. The best companies in the industry received the call from the Project Truck managers at LEER with an invitation to "bolt something on" the brand new Frontier. While the Frontier logged hundreds of miles weaving from shop to shop; manufacturer to manufacturer being outfitted for the big SEMA Show in Las Vegas, sports equipment suppliers across the country shipped product samples to LEER to help complete the active outdoor sports theme. With just hours to spare, work was completed in time for the premier in the LEER SEMA Booth in the South Hall of the sprawling Las Vegas Convention Center, where the largest gathering of truck accessories retailers in history were introduced to the Frontier and LEER's Adventure Sports Edtiion truck cap.
Following its successful show appearance, the Frontier spent days on the California coast, the subject of photographers and videographers who wanted to capture the spirit and substance of what Nissan, LEER and its Project Truck partners had put together. As a result, images of this Nissan Frontier will grace the pages of magazines, websites, brochures and other media outlets for many months to come. |
